NaviTrack® changed the world for plumbers by
 putting multi-directional antenna technology into a
 locator.

 The New RIDGID Scout now offers this same
 technology in a lightweight and compact
 locate tool designed to primarily locate
 remote transmitters (sondes).
 

A new compact, rugged remote transmitter (battery sonde)
that is built to handle the toughest locating situations,
has been introduced by the Ridge Tool Company.

The new RIDGID® remote transmitter (Cat. No. 16728)
is constructed for long life, extra durability and wear resistance
with a solid-steel core, an abrasion-resistant urethane coating,
and a stainless steel wear ring. It transmits at a frequency of 512 Hz.

With a diameter of 1" and a length of 3",
and weighing only 3.7 ounces, the waterproof transmitter
is small enough to get into tight spots.
The transmitter operates using one AAA-size alkaline battery.
The new transmitter features a blinking red LED
that is activated by a simple twist of the end cap,
to indicate that the sonde is operative.
